North Dakota Trip
A few weeks ago, John applied for a tax position in Bismarck, North Dakota. Later we found out that they had filled the position. The only other position they had was in Williston which was for a manager position. So we thought that couldn't be an option for John since it was a higher position. Last week John recieved a call from the human resource from this company and they wanted to interview him for this position in Williston. He talked to the manager who was in charge in the office and he asked John if he could fly us the next day to Williston, ND so he could meet and interview him.
John and I flew Thursday morning to Williston. They rented a hotel and a car for us. The manager showed us the whole town, took us out to eat, and brought us to his home. We met his wife and one of his sons who are great people. We went to the office to meet the rest of the staff who are also really great people. They offered John a job as an office manager! This is a very, very good opportunity and we have been waiting for this for a long time. The Lord has blessed our family once again and I know he has a plan for us in North Dakota. I have a feeling we are needed over there.
We went to church on Sunday. The ward has about 700 members with a lot of youth and a BIG primary. There are members from everywhere in the country including Utah and Idaho. The missionaries are baptizing people left and right. The members over there are really humble and they are like one whole family.
We went for a drive and stopped in Minot, Bismarck, Dickinson, and other small towns in the area. When we stopped in Bismarck we visited the Bismarck LDS Temple. The land is definitely beautiful. I know it will be really cold there, but we'll take it as a big adventure. One thing I like about the people in Williston is that they are really friendly. I know the Lord will bless us and he knows why we are supposed to go to North Dakota.

I'm so happy for you guys! I really do hope that this new adventure is a success. It will be sad not to see you like we've been able to, but I do understand that you've got to do what's best for your family. I look forward to hearing how you all adjust to the cold temps.
